EAST FRISIA 

In East Frisia a very specific, fascinating tea culture developed. There tea is drunk all day in large quantities. At breakfast, as "Elführtee", at noon, with a snack as "Teetied" and after dinner. Therefore the saying is true "East Frisian cosiness always has a cup of tea nearby". East Frisian blends consist mostly of Assam teas, which are strongly infused.

 White sugar candy is called "Kluntje". It is put in the cup, infused tea is poured over it and afterwards cream is poured over a teaspoon in such a way that the so-called cloud "Wulkje" is created. It is important that to not stir so that the clouds are not destroyed.

If you once happen to be with an East Frisian tea party – tea is served to the guests until they put their spoon into the cup. Every time it has to be 3 cups – that is East Frisian law.
